The Dr L Machaba Foundation aims to eradicate poverty through funding projects involving mother and (boy and girl) child. We aim to educate and provide basic needs such as food, clothing and infrastructure where mother and child are concerned. This includes working with different orphanages.
The Business Side of Medicine initiative and the book project – Secrets of Super-Powered Moms – are the direct funders of the foundation.

BSOM creates a space and platform where different practitioners and stakeholders can educate, empower, and network amongst themselves.

The business side of Medicine events have gained a lot of momentum and worked with a number of prominent sponsors including General Electrics, Healthbridge and Standard bank. General Electrics has been the biggest sponsor and contributor towards the initiative.

A Book by Dr Lethabo Machaba sharing the stories of dynamic, pioneering and inspiring woman.
On 9 August, 2022, Dr Machaba launched her book.
In the book she shares the journeys of different mothers who are doing their best to balance the demands of career, motherhood, social expectations and wifehood.
The women whose stories are shared in here are all dynamic and pioneering this world in ways never seen before.
Each of these women chose to not give up despite the demands of career, motherhood, social expectations, and wifehood. With the enablement of our all-loving Father, they were able to take tragedies head-on and turn them into victories. They were able to breastfeed, clean up vomit and in that same morning walk into boardrooms and command them.
